The first Kentucky Derby race was run in 1875 in front of an estimated crowd of 10,000 people, and a field of 15 three-year-old horses. It is the first leg of the United States Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing. Commonly referred to as "The Fastest Two Minutes in Sports" for its approximate duration, and is also called "The Run for the Roses" for the blanket of roses draped over the winner. The Kentucky Derby is the oldest, continuous sporting event in the United States. In 2010 Calvin Borel set a new record, being the first jockey to win 3 out of 4 consecutive Kentucky Derby races. As special guests of AT&T, you will enjoy a weekend full of tradition. In addition to attending the race in a private suite, you will have the opportunity to participate in Louisville traditions such as dining in an elegant southern mansion, sipping on a mint julep, and witnessing the traditional extravagant Derby hats worn by the ladies. You will be joined by a number of AT&T Executives along with many of our valued customers and guests from companies and organizations of various types and sizes. All guests will have the opportunity to engage in business networking, while soaking in the excitement of a weekend of Derby tradition.
